Battle Partners will be released in Japan on January 24, 2025. Each booster box contains 30 booster packs. It was officially revealed during the Latest News presentation on Day 1 of the Osaka Champion's League 2025 competition held from December 21-22, 2024. A short teaser of the featured cards was revealed on August 18, 2024 during the closing ceremony of the 2024 Pokémon World Championships.
The expansion features the return of Trainer's Pokémon, a game mechanic originally introduced in the Gym Heroes expansion. The booster pack for the expansion features N and Zoroark, Lillie and Clefairy, Hop and Zacian, and Iono and Bellibolt.
